ILGA Asia is looking for a UN Advocacy Intern
ILGA Asia is looking for an intern to assist our advocacy efforts. This internship will start on 6 November 2023, for a period of 3 months to 6 months. The intern will report directly to the Senior Global Advocacy Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to gain first-hand experience and knowledge of advocating SOGIESC-related rights through UN human rights and sustainable development mechanisms, and to support LGBTIQ and broader human rights movements across Asia.

Requirements:
Basic knowledge of the UN human rights system, with a preference for engagement experience.
Experience in NGO, community organizing, or relevant fields, especially in the LGBTIQ sector, is preferred. However, students with no prior experience are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English with additional proficiency in one or two Asian languages being an asset.
Access to necessary equipment and a stable internet connection for remote work.
Open to individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and sex characteristics, with a particular encouragement for lesbian, bisexual women, trans individuals, and intersex persons.
Location: Home-based (Remote)
