ILGA Asia Job Opening: Campaigns Coordinator (Deadline: 15 Jan 2022)
ILGA Asia is looking for a Campaign Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting full-time position to work with more than 170 LGBTI+ member organisations across Asia to advance the human rights of LGBTI+ people.
Title: Campaign Coordinator (Full-time)
Duty station: home-based (remote working)
Languages Required: English
Expected duration: 3 months on probation followed by a 9-month contract
Remuneration: 1800 USD per month (gross) with health, claims and other benefits

ILGA Asia is the Asian Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association, representing East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and West Asia.

Empower and support LGBTI communities, organizations and individuals in Asia, while encouraging community building and networking.
Role purpose
The Campaign Coordinator for ILGA Asia will be running powerful campaigns that promote social change for LGBTIQ and people of diverse SOGIESC in Asia. They will be working with diverse stakeholders to deliver all aspects of campaigns and share expertise and ideas to improve the capacity of ILGA Asia and organisations on the ground on campaigning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement and evaluate the national and regional campaigns to align with ILGA Asia’s strategies
Organise trainings and workshops for LGBTIQ activists and in-country partner organisations to strengthen their capacity in campaigning (strategy, production, execution, and others)
Be a technical resource person to provide necessary assistance for member organisations and in-country partner organisations on campaigns
Work closely with the communication team in content development, production of campaign materials, designing and delivering workshops and capacity building events
Coordinate and collaborate effectively with all required parties including the ILGA Asia team, member organisations, in-country partners, regional organisations and relevant stakeholders for campaign building and delivery
Perform quality assurance checks and evaluations for campaigns and content
Perform strategic analysis and assist the executive director and the program manager to develop a strategic perspective of regional campaigns
Build processes and share knowledge to increase ILGA Asia’s capacity on campaigns
Membership-related responsibilities
Plan, implement and evaluate campaigns to increase ILGA Asia’s membership and also target existing members
Requirements
At least 3 years of campaign management experience; please submit samples of previous campaigns you have run
Experience producing written content or design or experience working with designers or writers
Previous experience working with grassroots organisations and training experience
Research and analysis skills to build strong and effective campaigns
Bachelor degree in Media, Communications or a related field
Solid understanding of SOGIESC and human rights
Desirable qualities
The first-hand experience, either as a volunteer or an employee, in an LGBTIQ organisation, is highly desirable
LGBTIQ D/deaf and disabled people; lesbian and bisexual women; intersex persons; trans, gender-diverse, and non-binary persons; PLHIVs (persons living with HIV) and persons from the Global South are especially encouraged to apply, to increase the representation of people among LGBTI communities in our work.
